This model breast plate was typical of the Spanish armory of the 16th century and was mainly worn by foot soldiers. This handcrafted steel breast plate is enriched by a 24K Gold plated riveted metal sheet ornated by some figures in relief: two fleur de lys and a central oval depicting the coat-of-arms of the Castilla and Leon region of Spain. The breastplate was fastened to the body through leather belts that cross themselves on the back.
