This is the original Officially Licensed Limited Edition Richie Ryan Rapier Sword from the Highlander series produced in Toledo Spain by Marto.
From wayward street punk to Duncan MacLeod's most trusted friend and gifted protege, Richie Ryan holds a unique place within The Highlander Legend. In recognition, Marto paid tribute with the release of this Officially Licensed, Limited Edition, custom crafted Richie Ryan Rapier, the first in a series of five special edition signature blades designated for inclusion in the exclusive Limited Edition HIGHLANDER 20th Anniversary Sword Collection.
With its classic rapier sword lines and vintage Baroque styling, the Limited Edition Richie Ryan Rapier is a cornerstone piece. Meticulously recreated from the exact sword used in the series, the Limited Edition Richie Ryan Rapier features an embossed gold plated clamshell guard that segues into the telltale flutes cross and domed pommel, all beautifully juxtaposed against a handle wrapped within forest green king's velvet.
As with each signature sword in the Highlander 20th anniversary collection, the base of the rapier’s blade is etched with a line of character specific dialog, a detail that distinguishes the sword from any other in the world.
The Richie Rapier offers the ill fated classic words from the "Haunted" episode:
"It was a fair fight. I won…What did you honestly expect me to do, let him kill me?”"
The 20th Highlander anniversary Richie Ryan Rapier had a limited production of only 3500 swords.
